The factory installed air filter is usually metal or plastic. Depending on how dirty it is will determine the cleaning procedure. Usually the filters can be cleaned with a Hosed vacuum attachment. If you are cleaning in your house it is better to use a vacuum with a HEPA filter. You can also gently wash your filter with water. If you are going to use soaps check the label for compatibility
Where can I find my air filter?>Your Air filter is usually located in one of two places. Either under the front cover or in the front cover door. Some of the doors are tricky to get off or open. If you are missing the air filter we can make you one just call us. 1-847-488-1658
Why doesn't my air blow as strong as it used to?If you have noticed a gradual slow down in the force at which the air blows from your PTAC you could have a few different problems. The air filter could be clogged, clean the Air filter. The indoor fan could be starting to fail, call for service. Something could be blocking the air suction into the sleeve, check for recently installed carpet below unit.

What is the best product replacement for me?TRS stocks and sells products to over 200 properties. There are many different options. It is best to call and talk with us so we can provide this information. Don't worry we will not pressure you to buy. You are free to ask all the questions you like.
When is the best time to have my units cleaned?The manufacture suggests yearly cleanings and checks. The best time to check and clean your unit is just after summer. This will keep your units from rusting away from air conditioning moisture. If you have never had your unit(s) cleaned you may need to have it done prior to summer to save your compressor from damage.
